A Mercedes battery is a rechargeable battery that provides electrical energy to your auto.It is also called an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its principal objective is to start the Mercedes engine.
Electricity for the auto is supplied by the alternator once the engine is running.
Usually, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are designed to release a high outburst of current, measured in amperes, and then be immediately recharged.
They’re not designed for deep discharge, as well as the battery’s lifespan can be reduced by a total discharge.
